Tdif & iffwdm

will tdif work together iffwdm? Or is tdif disabled when iffwdm mk2 is inserted?

configuring a studio where a dm4800 & iffwdm can be used (to powermac) stand alone or where a Midas is connected to a Motu rig (via hd24) with two 2408mk3's and the dm4800 over tdif.

can i save a preset wich enables both iffwdm and tdif or are two presets needed? Or needs the iffwdm be removed?

We got it working using TDIF in the input and output screen. A full review later. As I have fixed this remote using whatsapp. I will be visiting this studio later. And then I will do an upgrade to Yosemite and post settings. Please give me a week or so....

Wait, so you got TDIF and iffw working with one preset? I have iffw going to a PC as my primary and TDIF connected to a PCIx Motu 424 system as redundancy on my Mac but have change DM presets to switch between the two. It only takes 5 seconds but it would be cool to know how you did this. Thanks for sharing.

please select a active channel and assign a bus. Have a tdif device with metering enabled. You should now have signal.

i was once told by an tascam rep that tdif is allways active.
this would mean redundant recording is possible.

This was done using Whatsapp as I do not own this rig. I will go over there next week and see if it's like that. But client confirmed.
