Using Model 12s stereo tracks with DP32?

Hi

I’m thinking of getting the Model 12 for recording our rehearsals. I have the DP32SD so I was wondering how the stereo tracks 7-10 work on the model 12. If importing the tracks to my DP32 can I separate the stereo tracks to mix them individually as mono tracks or will they need to be mixed/mastered as an entity?

I want to use 1 of the stereo tracks (say channel 7) for a synth and the other for a keyboard (channel 8 in this example). But in DP32 I would want to import them as 2 mono tracks to add eq and fx separately.

Hope you understand what I mean. I couldn’t find this information when searching the forum…

Not sure if the Model 12 exports a single stereo file or two monos, but either way, the DP-32 will be able to separate them.
If it's a pair of monos, you can simply import them into 2 separate mono tracks.
If it's a stereo file, it needs an extra step as I think you can only import these into a stereo track. I haven't double-checked this yet so may be wrong. Once you have it as a stereo track on the DP-32, it can then be re-exported, and this will create 2 separate mono files in AudioDepot. You can then import these to 2 separate mono tracks.
If it's a stereo file, you can import this to either a pair of adjacent mono tracks or a stereo track.

Have just confirmed the DP-32 import options and it's better than I thought... you don't need that extra step; you can import stereo files directly to any pair of mono tracks or a stereo track.

The Model 12 tracks are recorded as individual mono; tracks 11-12 (Main Mix) are converted to a stereo wav file when using the export function from the menu.
