TASCAM 244 & MODEL 16
Hello! as the title says I'm looking for a clear answer as to how to export individual tracks/stems with EQ and effects (im using delay/reverb pedals for my aux send effects). Every video i've watched and post I've read just talks about bouncing a full mixdown to the stereo master track but I want effected STEMS to transfer to logic/protools for further tweaking. Do i have to record every single track (one after the other) to the stereo master in order to get it done? If i have an 8 minute song i'd reckon that'd take hours. Please let me know if you have a streamlined way of accomplishing this on a model 16.

thank you to all!

Welcome @etienne6, similar topics have been already discussed in past so my suggestion is to look in the sticky threads at the top of the forum and use the search engine to easily find previous discussions that may be of interest to you.

Quick answer: tracks on the SD cars are common .wav file, to transfer them to your PC just put the card on your computer, browse to the song folder and copy/paste the files of your interest to the PC hard disk (or SSD).

Alternatively you can connect your Model 16 in Storage Mode (see the manual) to the PC via USB, then browse to the song folder and copy/paste tracks to the PC disk.

The above methods let you duplicate tracks content as they were recorded, that is with no added FX / EQ / Compression if they were recorded clean. In my opinion if tracks are going to be mixed in a DAW it's best to have them clean for a start and apply all needed treatments in the box.
