What is the easiest solution to fix a sticking talkback button? By sticking I don't mean the normal behavior latch feature, I mean that when you press the button it has lost some its spring and its either not engaging or engaging permanently when pressed. Thanks for any help.

Try spraying some DeOxit D5 on it. If not, it may need to be replaced if it is physically damaged.

I'll try it. If it doesn't work can I replace the button myself? I've done the LCD screen 3 times already but that's about the limit of my hardware repair skills.

You can certainly order replacement parts from directly from Tascam. Whether or not you have the technical knowhow is a question only you can answer. If you can't, then you'd have to send to it Tascam or a service center to repair.

I second CM's suggestion.
Spraying has worked for me on numerous problem buttons.
You can also assign the footswitch to be a talkback switch.
