DM3200
Recently I was given a DM3200.:) I'm using a macbook pro with 10.9.5 and Studio One 3 Professional.

I just updated my FWmkII card to 1.10 build 88685. Additionally I have 1.7 mixer frimware and 1.3 driver for Mac

Currently I'm only getting audio from Right Channel (meters and audio). Could be because of a change in routing, a firmware issue, or my biggest fear an ill advised hot swap of a cable.

Doesn't seem to be any occurrence of this issue on the forum.Thought I'd ask for ideas and solutions.

Thanks in advance.

To troubleshoot easier, let's get the IFFW out of the equasion: Is this problem there if you only consider the mixer itself? Simple test: analog stereo signal in, route to stereo, check result.

Thank you for responding Arjan P. Several of your posts have help me learn my way around this board!

Good news, The card is fine, they stereo is better. I'm still a long way from understanding the routing, so I'm gonna dig in the forum and manual again. I think I have an AUX in the way because my panning bleeds a bit - in other words if I pan a channel to the right, I hear the channel fully in the right and see it on the meters. But if I pan hard left, I see and hear the channel in both left and right to some degree.

@Nickname Was Taken It's all in the Routing my dear friend. Once you wrap your head around that aspect of the desk you are off to the races. Best of luck!

Peter is right. I would go through all channels and AUX sends of them to put it all to zero/center and then start fresh with your routing exploration.

Arjan and Peter,
I wanted to thank both you for your responses. I did dial down the encoders. I believe I was getting inconsistent signal input levels (a recent post) due to a gate/dyn setting and balance issues from AUX. Not 100% sure what corrected it but.....!

So believe I have my 16 Mic/Line channels in good shape now. i.e.: I can track/record 16 tracks with great levels consistent levels and mix back with audible balance control.

My next step is to route so I can hear playback from my Studio One to my live room and add overdubs. My wrinkle is I use a 16 channel AVIOM system that is fed signal from the each channels HARD insert. I believe this is a PRE signal. It works great for individual monitoring for live jams, etc. But I cannot figure out how to get the DAW signal through it.

1. Is there a pre/post for HARD channel inserts? If so I could route my DAW to 15&16 and sacrifice those channels.

2. Can I SOFT channel insert 17&18 (where my stereo DAW feed is) to DM3200 tracks 15&16 in a POST.

Currently I route my DAW playback to channel 17 and 18 so I am not loosing any inputs.
This is the DM3200 configuration. https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/set-tascam-dm3200-iffwdmmkii-up-for-logic-pro/
