The risk was limited, there's no sticker that would prevent opening the unit, the screws are easy to remove and simply removing that dozen of screws is enough to open the back.

Anyway, initially I was planning to use the Studio Bridge as my main sound interface for everything, but I found that the unit becomes a bit hot, so maybe having such a big 24 in/out interface to just listen to stereo audio on day to day basis is not optimal.

Oh, interesting. I'm planning on getting one myself. I am currently looking for a new room to build my studio and I have these items in the budget.

The idea is to have it free to roll around like one of the older 24 track tape machine remotes. Hopefully that would also help with the heat dissipation.

Well, it is not running very hot, I think heat dissipation should not be be a problem.
