Looking for analog card for 3200

Hi, songjohn. Would you part with one of your IF-AE/DMs? If so, what's it going to cost me? I was interested in the firewire card for awhile, but I never located one. Not to say you can't find one. They are quite rare.

Correction. I have three of these things. One is in the DM and had forgotten, since I have it sitting in a room and haven't looked at it or played with it since I bough it.
What are these cards for anyhow? Am I looking at a regret if I can't get my hands on a FW card?LOL 250.00 sound OK?

You can always got the TDIF to interface route if you can't find a card. Not as elegant and some restrictions at higher sample rates but better than not using the DM4800.

$250 sounds reasonable. Do you know that the cards are in good working order? Where are you? I'm in central California.

All I can say about all the cards I have is this. When I received the package, one of the cards was in slot 2 and the other two cards were in their little, cheap, Chinese cardboard boxes. I experienced a thought! Why not mount them in slots 3&4 to see if the 4800 would recognize them? I don't know what it means exactly but, they were. I have no reason to believe they wont function as they should. On the contrary, of the two cards, the one I prepared to send you, if you want it, looks as though it was never mounted, judging by the lack of marks on the contacts and around the mounting holes. That is all I can tell you. I don't know what these cards can do, I don't know their worth nor can I know how to verify their functionality.

Typically users here use a MOTU interface. More money, yes, but if you think when you find a FireWire card that it's going to be cheap you're mistaken. Be prepared to spend $450 onward if you see one offered on eBay or on here.

1 B-Stock ADAT card

No AES/TDIF/Firewire cards though, but still have AVIOM and Cobranet.

About three months ago I tried Amazon and they had a FW listed so I placed the 625.00 Cnd. $order and I'm still holding my breath. I thought it was too good to be true so, I'm still blue.
ETA was Oct. 4th. I received notification that they are still trying and delivery date is pending.
I think I shall give them a call. I suppose I could cancel the order if I find a interface for aprx the same coin. In the mean time, more research! Thanks again for your help and suggestions etc.
