DM4800 + MSR16 (tape rec) + Pro tools: Is it possible to sync?

I recently bought a Tascam MSR16 tape recorder, I wonder if there is any way to sync it with the DM4800 and use the mixer's transport session to control the functions of the tape recorder and PT (10HD). Has anyone done this and could you help me? : D

Is my first tape recorder, I have no experience with this, any other additional information referring to this set is very welcome.
