Hello, long time reader and first time poster.
I've recently started working as a technician in a school studio, we have a DM3200 and a mac running Logic pro 9 (I'm a protools lover so upgrading soon!)
The desk hasn't been setup yet as a controller for Logic, it's only been setup to record each channel into Logic and Logic returns via 17 and 18. I've started to set it up as a controller but am running into a few problems....
I've setup a mackie controller (port 1) and the expander controller (port 2) and the remote layer faders work fine. Here are the issues I'm having:
The transport controls work fine apart from play and record, the record button doesn't work at all and the play button seems to continuously stutter the first second of Playback, almost like the play button is being pressed continuously in logic. I have a feeling this is something to do with the midi assignment settings.
The meter bridge doesn't seem to follow Logic, however when switched to 17-24 it follows 17-18 as normal and it was following a few of my busses in logic on 19-21.
The smpte clock on the meter bridge only works occasionally (can't remember the settings in logic as not in front of it at the moment) and on every project I have to offset the smpte by 50 seconds to keep it in line with the time on Logic.
Hope I'm making sense, I've been a live sound engineer for such a long time that I'm a bit thrown by midi assignments and smpte!
