Hey guys. How do you set up your dm3200 with a second set or (in my case) a mono monitor. What I want to do is ad 1 mono auratone (or simular, probably go with the behritone to begin with). What way is the best, easiest and cheapest way to get an easy switch between to to sets?

Thanx!
Dan

Easiest method with zero cost is to use the Control Room volume knob for your Control Room monitors. You can control the Studio Monitor volume by using the Pod 4 knob from the monitor menu (I turn it down all the way until I need it as there is no switch or cutoff). What's wrong with using the mono setting on your control room monitors (mono setting doesn't work with Studio monitoring)?

I externally switch the Control Room signal to my three sets of speakers (or amps they use), of which one is a set of Avantones. I use them in stereo and when I need true mono balance I switch mono on the DM and leave or switch one Avantone off. Not ideal, I know, but checking stereo with only one Avantone in the middle has its own impossibilities..

Here the difference between mono from two speakers or one:

I have alesis m1 active mk2 as my main monitors and want one "crappie" mono speaker to check my mixes on. But i will also check mono on the alesis to.
the studio out is problably the way to go.. do i need to do any routing to get sound out from them? Or do it follow main out?

Thanks for replying!

No routing required for studio monitors. Check the monitoring menu for configuration. Remember the mono button on the DM only works with the control room monitors not the studio monitor output. You will have to rely on your DAW mixer to send a mono mix to your single studio speaker if that's your intention. Cubase's Control Room is awesome for routing multiple speaker outputs to the DM as well as sending cue mixes externally.

I ended up buying the behringer control1usb. It was 50% of in the store and it was the last one! One bad thing with it is that it takes up alot of space on the desk... other than that im very happy.
