Automated Fader Sluggish Response

Here it is again.....

Just for a test...
When you move one fader in Logic, does the corresponding fader in the remote layer of the DM move smoothly?
In my case, all of the faders on the DM move smoothly when I move them in my DAW.
(and vice versa)

Yes, did try that, seems to be a somewhat uneven response. I think what I could now do is do some automation via the DM and see if its the same, then I guess we would know if its the communication rather than the fader? I dont suppose you can do much if its the communication? and if it is perhaps its because I have a truck load of other things plugged into the USB of the mac pro?

Ofcourse something can be done if it is communication. Like suggested earlier, take a look into possible MIDI issues - interference maybe with another MIDI source or receiver.. Disconnect every MIDI or USB from your setup (ofcourse for USB that would be items not necessary for basic operation). Going even deeper than that, the interrupts shared between various PC items could also play a role.
