Tascam Model 16 config issues

Tascam 16 with MacBook Pro Sequoia operating System. 24 gigs Ram. Running Reaper DAW. that's my setup. I was running ReaperDAW with a window Lenovo laptop but I was not a computer the would record well with the Reaper Daw but Iwas able to record. Trying to configure my New Apple MacBook Pro has Not been easy I can't get a signal to record. I upgraded the Firmware thinking that was the issue. this did not help . Any suggestion!!!

Did you go into the audio/midi setting on the MacBook? That's kind of obvious, but perhaps you missed it? If you're brand new to Macs, I can see this happening.

Yes
Being totally new to Apple I was making it more complicated. It is up and running and working well! Glad I switched to Apple.
