TASCAM 05 DRX hand held recorder

When I record with my 05 DRX I usually put it on my amp. The input recording level is put quite low. I’m recording my jazz trio or duo. The guitar has like a weird chorusing effect on it. I don’t know if what I’m hearing is phasing ? What should I do ? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

You should move it to another location, do a test recording and note the results.
