Syncaset 238 aligning

Hey guys,

my new Syncaset 238 is showing some signal inconsistencies on Track 1 when recording especially in level. I was told that some alignment has to be done so the tape does not touch the metal "guide" anymore.

Can someone here help me out with a tutorial on how to do this?

I would suspect worn heads, low back tension, tape edge damage, and the pinch roller causing the tape to skew.
