Remote Controlling DM 4800 with mobile device?

I thought it was an ipad app. I'd like to find a software solution using ipad if possible. have you tried any of those?

No, I haven't. First, because I don't own any Apple product nor ever will (but that's beside the point here). But really, because I prefer hardware over touch screen since it doesn't need looking at while operating - essential in those cases when being the performing musician and engineer at the same time..

I love the Tranzport and use it often.
Great for going to the booth and doing self recording.
Nice to have simple physical buttons.

On the other hand, I find myself using V-Control Pro more often as my remote controller.
It is an iPad app.
Gives me full control of my DAW and the ability to see the faders of all of the channels in my setup.
Using it with the DM4800, I can go to the remote layer and automate with remote finger touch.

I'm preferring it to the Tranzport, because I can see the mirror of any window in my computer monitors.
Also, with the touch screen, I can move multiple faders when I automate.
It is a well designed product.

My ultimate preference would be a Tascam mixer and remote app that would give much more control of the specific board parameters.
Maybe in 2014.
