Tascam DP-24 w/CD burner
Hello all,

This is probably seem like a very 'newbie' kind of situation, but, to be fair, I did search throughout the forum for an answer and a solution - however, no luck....

Here's the situation: I recently purchased the DP-24 that has a CD burner built-in. I've recorded several tracks, following all the procedures and tips from the manual, videos, and the forum, but, when I burn to a CD the play-back volume is very low. I've kept the track and Stereo fader levels at Unity (0), however playing back the CD requires the devices volume (in this case, a car stereo) needs to be turned all the way up. I'm quite sure that the issue is on my end - I'm probably missing a step. Can someone give me a bit of advice, please :)

Thank you!!

The problem is in the Mastering. Give it more gain to make it louder.

"Gain Staging". Learn It. Know It. Live It.

That goes for pre- AND post-recording scenarios...proper/optimized gain and levels are as important as routing, quality cables, and having hard candy in the studio.😁
