So right, @shredd. The Red Special was a pretty big chunk of change, but I am so happy that I did it. The guitar is so different and (pardon the pun) special when compared to the Gibsons or others, that I can't imagine not having it now.
It certainly is worth it for me. I usually take the LP or the V to gigs. Last time I took the RS and the LP. Played them both. Completely different guitars and both at the top of their game, but the RS, being handmade and with bespoke materials is just so much more satisfying to play.
