Candy? Good one. By the way, I realize that the conversation has been all about me myself and I. I never did ask how you use your DM-3200. And why not work exclusively "In the Box" Why the need for a physical at all. Just curious!
Short answer here. http://cmaffia.wix.com/thebastudio
My work involves live instruments many times. I use the DM3200 more as audio interface and do mix in the box most of the time using the Remote Layer (control surface).
Oh oh! The last thing that I needed was to see the pictures of how your consoles are setup. I love it. Actually, your entire setup is what I have been dreaming of for so long. Amazing. I wish you all the best. Much success to you and your team.
Peter, I was actually also thinking about an all-in-one solution for your situation. Maybe it's the wisest thing to do and get some music recorded. You might otherwise run the risk of having such a complex setup that it will eat all your time figuring stuff out, with the result of no music made.
BTW, me and cmaffia coincidentally both came from using such a standalone machine, in this case from Akai (DPS-16/24). I did some of my best work on it..
