Agreed...if I had any occasion whatsoever to open up my Tascams (in particular my 2488neo and my O/G DP-32) I would ABSOLUTELY undertake a major cleanup/button-lube...

I just completed the screen replacement and layer button deox-it tweak, both were successful and the new screen looks great! I also installed a 2seemy card while I had the board open.

And since I need to use all 4 expansion slots, I ran the ribbon out to a makeshift “enclosure” w the vga port card mounted. The enclosure consists solely of the 2seemy slot panel and a spare Dm expansion slot cover, connected with four screws and 1cm spacers. Keeps the contacts from touching, but I would love to 3D print a better solution.
