IF-FW/DM firewire compatability with new computer. help

Which model of Asus motherboard? My new PC has Asus Z87-K and it was completely unable to handle IF-FW/DM mkII with any of my 3 PCI FireWire cards (2 with VIA and 1 with Adaptec chipsets) of which every one worked just fine with my previous PC.

And I'm, not the only one having similar problems.

Well now it's my turn to say. "No problems here!" Seriously no problem with PCI FireWire card in either of the Asus or Intel I7 motherboards that I've used.
