Hello from new DP008EX user

As a new member of this forum I would like to say hi and thank you for allowing me to join this excellent forum.
I have been using my DP008EX for about three months and I have been very satisfied with the ease of use and quality of my recordings. As recommended by this forum I have spent a good deal of time perusing the manual and after a reasonable time I can now record and export my tracking to my pc without too much hassle. I look forward to being a part of this community.

Congrats on acquiring an '008...great little rig. I have one myself, using for recording live playing, and also at home for "sketching".
It's a surprisingly solid little unit, with performance/sound quality well above its' price point.

We are all very pleased that you're taking your ownership/use of it seriously (by browsing your manual, etc). It's critical to be familiar with your gear to have any hope of using it effectively...and NOT ask stewpyd questions like "how does it turn on??" and "can I use an XLR cable in a combination input?".

You'll also find all sorts of helpful stuff in the forum dedicated to the small/portables...and also look at the "sticky posts" at the top of the 2488/DP-24/32xx forum, which is chock-full of 94% of the info you'd need to master studio efforts, even on the little '008.
