DR-44wl
I know it's an old unit but I've had it for years and, for the most part, it does what I need it to do ...except for the wifi!

Has anyone been able to get it to work?
I've done loads of tests thinking "surely it must work" - it was the only reason I bought the thing over a Zoom recorder as this one had remote control via wifi.
I've sat the unit right next to a dedicated iPhone, connected up fine, but after a while, for no reason, the app freezes up because it's lost connection.

Sorry I don't have a solution for you - but I would point out that BT gear-control apps are notoriously poorly-written and are the subject of a large portion of complaints about audio gear, particularly compact/portable line-array units...yet there seems to be little resolutions noted, nor any action from the gear mfg'rs.
In your case, it seems it's the CONNECTION that's the problem, not the app's functions?

Seems like a good place to start would be to update the firmware in the DR, and also the APP if there's an updated version. It's even possible the version of the iPhone and/or iOS is contributing/causing?

Again - sorry to not have actual solution for you - but it's somewhere to start...maybe some of the smart-ysh guyz here have better intel. Good luck!

I have a DR-44WL and it is not reliable when you use the device itself for the wifi connection. It works at the beginning but seems to loose the connection after a while. However, an improvement has been made with the latest firmware and that lets you connect through your home wifi network. I found the wifi connection with the DR-44WL much more stable and reliable using that option.
