DP02CF monitoring

I currently have a BR1600CD and I haven't found a way to disable input monitoring. I am using a H&K Redbox with my guitar amp so I want to hear the sound from the cab itself and record the cab sim sound from the RedBox. I am really considering the DP02CF if it is possible to turn off input monitoring while tracking guitar. Does the track fader adjust input monitoring level while recording or does it only affect playback level after the fact?
