DP008EX stand?

What do some of you guys use for a stand? Would a laptop stand work? I saw a guy on ebay selling some for like $40-$50 ... but it was just a piece of metal. I should be getting a dp008ex fairly soon. Thanks for any replies.

TOTally depends on the circumstances you want to use it in.

For a desktop stand: to be honest, I’d just craft something out of my wood-scraps pile. I’ve done that many times, including a base for my DP-32 (to position it on my desktop at an improved angle) to the “rack-sides” I made to hold a coupla 19” rackmount units in a similarly accessible position/angle. In both cases, I made them in less time than it takes to change git’r strings, and have been on my studio desk for ages. AND cost pennies to make.

I also have this little mic-stand bolt-on shelf that’s apparently meant for accessories when playing live, but just happens to be the PERFECT size to hold my ‘008 in front of me. I’ve even record rehearsals/performances with it there.

You really don't need something sturdy for the Pocket Studio line of Tascam. As @shredd already confirmed, they are tiny and lightweight and would also fit on top of flash photo equipment stands and similar other gear.
