DP-32 Screws Up Apps (and Theremin) When Turned On

I don't think it matters as the current is so small. As they say "It's volts that jolts, but mils that kills".
Have you tried a multi-meter on any of your 'floating' gear?
Seems it's also common on some laptops with double-insulated PSUs:
No, not in a very long time. Years ago I used to do that at every gig, particularly measuring between the metal pop screen of the vocal mic and the pickup covers of the guitar. I hate getting zapped on the lips! That practice did save me a few times. I will probably do some tests when I have some spare time as this is a very interesting topic.

Although, we once DID put a Leslie Speaker into a tiled bathroom to record it -- it was wild, weird, or wonderful depending on where we put the mic.
The studio restroom is perhaps the most valuable space in the studio! More composing and recording is done there than in the main live room, lol.
Thankfully, the above quote is not a Best Practice for studio quality results with the DPs....
