@Peter Batah Well, I don't really have many templates I can reuse, so I simply get a new tape on for each project.. For instance, I have recorded my drummer friend several times in the last half year, but every time he brings another setup, so I may have Kick, Snare top, Snare bottom and Hihat the same, but then everything changes again.. 2 toms + floor tom, 3 or 4 toms with floor tom or 3 toms and 2 floor toms. I think he is testing me, actually
I do use white Brother label maker adhesive tape on my mixer though, but that's below the input stage. It shows my Mic and Line standard inputs - which don't change, or only temporary due to patching. The Mic inputs are hard wired to locations around my recording room and vocal booth so they really don't change.
