Hello, I ran a cord from sends 1 of my Dp 24-sd to the input of my Microverb, then out to the C input channel, Assigned trk 9 to C.
activate track's record button. On track 11, I want to record an acoustic Guit. track from my Boss BR-running RC cord from stereo out
(just using mono) to Channel A for trk 11. i've done this before, so I don't know why I'm not getting the external effect'

Welcome to the forum MM. As shredd said.
4 main things to check:
1. If track 11 is your source signal, enable and turn up send-1 levels for track 11. Confirm you are altering the send levels for the right track. When turning the knobs, either confirm track 11's Select button is lit green, or open the mixer screen and confirm track 11 appears at the top-right of mixer screen.
2. Turn up master send-1 level (select buttons and display screen are irrelevant).
3. If you've set the send to POST (which would normally be the choice for a reverb type of effect), turn up track 11's fader. If your external effect unit has a meter, confirm it's receiving a signal. You can also use Monitor Select to listen to the send-1 signal and confirm all the above settings are correct.
4. If the effect is coming back in on track 9 (via input C), arm track 9 and turn up its fader in order to hear it in the mix.

You can use either send 1 or 2 for an external effect, but if you're using send-1, make sure the internal effect is either turned off, or the effect's return level is turned down.
It can sometime help to visualise things if you draw a diagram of the signal flow.
Seasons greetings to you.
