I don't know about Pro-Tools, but I can tell you from experience that Tascam's documentation relating to Cubase is several generations out of date and would be of little help to a newcomer in 2015. I've noticed a couple members of this forum are quick to invoke "RTFM" rhetoric without even considering whether or not the solution is at hand is even in "TFM".

What happens when you select ports 1 and 2? Sometimes in the absence of up to date documentation and a helpful community, trial and error is the quickest path toward results.

Thank you so much.I have faders and transport working now.Now I have no clue as to how to listen to audio from pt10 thru the dm3200

Do you have a firewire card in it or some other way to get the audio into the computer?

Could be as simply as right option-Clicking the Speaker icon in the taskbar and making sure the FW card is selected for audio output. Does it show up in the Audio MIDI Setup pane? [it's in the Utilities folder of your applications directory] You can right click any Audio I/O device to assign it as your default input/output... from there you have to assign channels your computer output to channels on the DM, ie "stereo Left to channel 31, stereo Right to channel 32" as shown in this screenshot.

That's one way of doing it, probably the most common. You could also just run your line out from the Mac into the 2TR input on the back of the DM and bypass FW altogether, though you're still going to have to configure FW to play nice with your audio applications.

Then if you have the proper firewire driver loaded it shouldn't be a big deal from here and to RTFM should be helpful to you. Guessing from the screenshot that you are running OSX. Make sure you have the latest beta firewire drivers (look in the stickied thread in this forum and find the post that gives the link to the dev site with the username and password), reboot after it's installed with both the USB and Firewire plugged in, and then all 32 ins and outs should show up as Core Audio inputs and outputs.

The DM-3200 is a fairly complex beast (especially if you haven't used a lot of other digital consoles) so you're going to have to do some reading to get yourself figured out for sure. We can only point you in the right direction for so long ...
