In revision C, the Assignment functions are described on page 35. It's under the Basic Recording section, so probably best to look for that in the main index.

Page 33 you will find the section called "Basic Recording" which is a long section from Page 33 to Page 40. You need to read all of it. You don't "assign tracks" on the DP machine - you assign Inputs to Tracks and that is where you start. Pressing the REC button arms the tracks so you can record on the track. These are the most basic fundamental functions of the machine. In the sticky topics at the top of the forum you will find tips and tricks of how to use the machine.
