Dm-24 adat output

Anyone???
I'm trying to use my DM-24 for extra mic inputs for my RME fface 802 using the ADAT interface. I see 4 outputs for channels 1-4 no matter what DM-24 channel I use. The DM-24 has a clock speed of 44.1 and the RME is 96. I tried changing the RME to 44.1 with no luck.
Any ideas?

I use a MOTU 8Pre via ADAT - appears as 8 input channels (return).
DM24 with 44,1 kHz, Motu 44,1 kHz but:
Dm24 should recognize it; the MOTU can be switched from Interface to Converter, as converter (with DM24) you have to choose the ADAT input (of the RME) as clock source...
