TASCAM DM3200
I've been using my DM3200 as a controller for Protools 12.5 for a few months. I recently purchased the optional FW card so I can use my DM3200 as my Protools interface. I followed the instructions in the manual for setting up the desk itself as well as installed the most up to date drivers, setup the DM 3200 as my playback engine and established the new I/O paths in Protools as instructed.

I am getting playback through the desk on projects I have already recorded, but when I start a new project, I create a track, the input says Channel 1, the output says Output 1-2, but when I arm the track, I get no audio signal. Nothing though my monitors and nothing on my meters. Did I miss a step?

What's the Pro Tools I/O setup look like when you are creating a new project?
That's the first place to start.

I'm thinking you need to be sure your routing switches are set properly on the DM.

1. Choose your DM input channel either mic or line with the green "select" switch at the module top
2. Look over at the "output assign" switch array ... left side of the DM. The default will have them all on perhaps so to set them to individual mode hit the shift key and one of the lit keys. From now on you can select one or combos for your routing.
3. As an example select output assign 7 then choose that as your Pro Tools input Interface to your record channel/track there.
4. This of course assumes that you have IF-DW/DMmkII driver installed and chosen in PT. Please LMK if you haven't done that. If you have it chosen in PT "setup" as your hardware, playback engine and the I/O, you should be good to go.
