I have a Tascam X8 with a very strange issue on a Windows device. Windows can output audio to it over USB but not receive any audio from the X8. I'll list some things I've tried so far which haven't worked.
1. Exchange the device
2. Uninstall all audio drivers and reinstalling them
3. Only installing Tascam audio drivers
4. Installing Asio4All
5. Changing bitrate settings
6. Using different cables
7. Upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11
I'm currently out of ideas on how to further troubleshoot this issue. The odd thing about it is that it does work on my other Windows laptop without any issues, and I'm really confused why it's able to receive audio from my PC but not send any to it. I've read from some other users suffering from this issue and the only thing that solved it was a fresh windows reinstall, which I can't afford to do right now. Has anyone managed to fix this issue, or know what could be causing it?
