Can SD card data be exchanged directly from sd cards to each recorder? Are they compatible?

Maybe ... 8-track what to 24 track what? You don't say what devices you're using. You can take a card from a DP24 and put it into a DP32. There are limitations going the other way (32->24) ... number of channels, of course, and whether any stereo channels have been configured and tracks recorded as mono in the DP32.

If you just mean can you take the SD card you already have for some other device and use it in your machine, then most likely yes (some SD cards are cheap and can't). You'd have to reformat the card in your DP24SD, and you would, of course, lose all the data on the card, so if it's important backup that card to your computer before formatting.

Again WHAT 8-track device (model number/name). I don't think any Tascam units other than the DPxx are compatible (they use proprietary file formats, while the DP's use WAVs natively). What you'll need to do is EXPORT those tracks from the 8-track as WAV files and then import them into your DP24.

This one -
TASCAM DP-008EX Digital Portastudio 8-Track Portable Multi-Track Recorder

Then it's as I said ... you'll need to EXPORT from the DP008, move the exported files to a computer, copy them to the AUDIO DEPOT folder of a DP24 formatted card, and the IMPORT into the DP24. The files will be 16bit/44.1 WAVS. You will ONLY get the audio files, the rest of the project (EQ, FX etc) will not translate.

Hi, my question is can I use the sd card from my dp 008 and in my m16?

thanks
