Hello
My old Portastudio 414 is doing some odd things since I got it out after many years.
After recording and setting the switches to "safe" and "tape" for playback: the level LEDs always stay the same no matter what I do with the faders.
The audio levels do change when I move the faders but the visual LEDs stay the same as they were when the sounds were recorded, no matter what. Almost as if they are showing the original recording levels at all times, regardless of what sound is coming out of the device.
This is strange and I cannot think of where to begin with a fix.
A second issue Ive had is that sometimes tracks will randomly record even when the record button is not engaged!
I would be eternally grateful for any help. If anybody here is good at diagnosing these sort of faults then I will happily record a video of the issues. Let me know if theres any hope and I will do so ASAP.
