Any one brave (or stupid) enough to see if this breaks the iffmdm drivers? Only in developers beta 1 yet..
Fingers crossed they leave the audio stack alone, but I doubt they will :(

The most recent moving target wasn't the audio "stack," but the kext signing required as a new security measure. There's no reason the believe that will change in 10.11. I, for one, will be brave enough to install 10.11, as I never update the OS without making a bootable clone of my startup drive... that is, when 10.11 is released. There's certainly no point in speculating over a dev's beta.

Not only brave enough, but as a pro audio Apple developer testing new OSX (& IOS) versions as well as new Windows versions is part of my job. Thou testing the Tascam IFFW driver is pretty low on my OSX testing to do list. I still haven't bothered to test the IFFW driver with 10.10.4 Beta's yet which is planned to be released end of this month. Not expecting any issues.

Nothing really pro audio related has been mentioned by Apple for Dev's to focus on 10.10.4 or 10.11.0 but there will some new software tools for audio Dev's. Some audio engine performance enhancements are planned to be included as well mostly related to game audio stuff.

FYI:

Yosemite OS X 10.10.4 & El Capitan OSX 10.11.0 Beta Seed 1 & recent Beta Seed 2 all seem to install and be working ok with TMC and IFFW driver with iTunes and Nuendo 7 with the recent smoke testing that I have done.

OS X 10.10.4 expected to be publicly released any day now (June 30) to go along along with IOS 8.4 to support Apple's new music service. Should be no changes to how CoreAudio works with 3rd party audio devices from how they work in OS X10.10.3

Public Beta of OS X 10.10.0 due to be released end of July.

This just in from a 'Mac-Savvy/DM_Pro.".....................

"The public beta of Mac OS X 10.11 DOES NOT break the FW-IF/DMmkII driver. It passes audio A-OK. It DOES, however, cause TMCompanion to fail to launch.

These are early days on the beta (it won’t let Digital Performer launch, either), but I think it’s good news on the driver..."

Then - a followup:..............................................

"I realized that I neglected to repair permissions after doing the OS upgrade. That may have allowed TMC to launch. I'll give it another run tomorrow and let you know if anything changes."

There is is. News @ 11. :)
