I have a Tascam DP 008, it's been sitting around for awhile but I broke it out and am going to start using it.

Good for you! Many people are taking out their old stuff and when they find it does not work, I end up getting it and so I have to fix them but this is mostly Teac/Tascam tape decks not the digital stuff. There is a resurgence from what I see.
