tascam model 12
Hey everyone, in a bit of a spot of bother with my tascam model 12

Have been following this tutorial to use it as a daw controller with reaper

No issue installing firmware, but as soon a I try to open daw controller mode (for reaper or any other option) I get an error message of "(i) only 1/2 ch can be listened", enter is the only option after that: https://imgur.com/a/RVTNl1V

moving on from that, if i open reaper i get this error message: https://imgur.com/a/ssF2Rz3

If i then try to set up the daw controller options in preferences they aren't there: https://imgur.com/a/vtocQgW

If i choose any of the available options i get another error: https://imgur.com/a/IO0PAqB

interestingly i can record using the 1st channel, but i cannot get any audio playback using the model 12, even simply by selecting it as a device to output audio on my desktop.

Any help would be hugely appreciated

That's not an "error message" - that is an information dialog telling you that in DAW Control Mode there are only 2 channels available for audio. That would be for the Master Bus in Reaper. This is completely normal. When the Model 12 is operating as a controller its not operating as a standard mixer.

Press Control-P in Reaper and click on MIDI Devices. Check your configuration there and also in the Control Surfaces section near the bottom of the Preferences. Something is not quite right about how you've set the MIDI preferences in Reaper.
