Hi, I just noticed that my FR-AV2 produces clearly (loud) clipping noises by low level (-20 dB or less on the inputmeters) low frequency sounds (lower that 20 Hz). These low frequency sounds are produced by my microphones when moving them slowly (without windscreen) - this does not result in normal clipping!!! I adjusted the input gain low to very low to be sure that there is no (normal) clipping taking place. This problem does not occur on a Zoom F6. I tested it with several microphones (eg. Neumann KM184 / AKG C460/CK61 / Pearl MS-8CL). All with the same result.
I am afraid that switching between the two stacked AD-converters (in one input channel to achieve 32 bit dynamic range) is done in a way that it does not handle low frequency (almost DC-signals) well. This seems a major design flaw.
Does anyone have the same kind of experience ??
