Hi community!

I am proud to say I got my first mixer as I want to make the leap to mix in hardware and not software anymore.
Received my model 24 yesterday and so far, I am really happy with the hands on control!

However, I have 2 questions/issues, and one is definitely bothering me so far:

1) I do get this noise through my monitors, it is not really an issue when producing music, but when music is not playing it is there and I am scared that I've got a faulty model, or is this normal on a hardware mixer to have some noise? (note, Control Room knob is not even half way up).

2) Although I do like the effects processor, I do need a second effect. Is there a way to add an external effects processor to the AUX so that I can have additional effects?

thanks!

Hi @Yavor. Do you get noise with all the faders down?

Hey @-mjk- ,

I do get noise when faders are down. A friend told me to use balanced stereo cables from the Control Room out to my monitors, since they are quiter.. So I ordered some and will see how it goes this upcoming week - I was using mono cables until until now.

Anything else I could do?

It depends on whether it's a normal sound like shot noise (hiss), or a hum or buzz. Can you describe it? Does the level vary with the volume knob?
