Hey any body using the harrison mixbus DAW? Saw that some people are having some problems with the dm mixer with this program... I was considering buying it, and use it to maybe track in it and do final mixes. I use cubase pro 8 now... and will be using it aswell...

My worst purchase ever. Doesn't support control surface at the moment. Beware of that software. Buy Reaper. Costs less and it works.

Harrison came out with a new version of mixbuss that does support control surface, look on youtube, I have it but haven't had time to really get into controlling it with my dm4800, I hook it up and could only get 8 faders to work in the remote layer, its probably just a setting that i am missing

I bought version 3.0 in December. They had problems with control surface implementation in the previous version and disabled it. Not to mention I had lots of problems with getting the software to recognize the DM's ASIO drivers and MIDI. It also doesn't recognize all of your installed plugins. I had to go through hoops just to get to use my Wave plugins. Couldn't get my UAD cards to work either. Things like this should be a no brainer but Harrison Mixbus excels in sucking the life out of you when trying to configure the most simplest things.

When I did get the ASIO drivers to work, I was disappointed. I heard nothing special. It sounded like any other DAW except any other DAW was infinitely easier to setup! Seriously that software is the weirdest, most awkward application I ever used (and I am in the IT field by trade). I can't stress how damn weird it is especially the configuration and setup screens. A waste of $80. If you want that bad I'll sell you my copy with license for $40. At least I'd get something back for it since they don't accept returns. They also don't have demos so the only way you can try it is to buy it. Ain't that special?

@cmaffia

Glad you posted this! I like to tinker with new DAW's from time to time just to keep things interesting. I've had Harrison for about a year and never cracked it open but recently got the urge to play around with it. I think you just changed my mind, lol.
