Beats and Bars

I had a Tascam DP-01, it worked in bars and beats, fantastic for moving chorus. However, it stopped working, so I got the DP-03 but hate moving song parts because it do not work in beats and bars, only mins sec etc. There no easy way of converting time to beats and bars. Can anybody help?
