Another recording from my studio: a young guitarist recorded his instrumental metal track. The song was composed in Guitar Pro, writing tabs and programming drums and synths. Then converted to MIDI and imported in Cubase 7.5. Drums, bass and synth sounds were assigned to Groove Agent and Halion VSTis, with a MIDI piano played by Nord Electro 3 and another part played by Alesis Micron synth.
All guitar tracks were recorded two-ways: an effected sound through an outboard effect, while also recording the raw guitar sound. To these raw tracks VST amps inside Cubase were assigned, thickening the sound with various pannings. Mixed on the DM to Wavelab, where mastering was done using iZotope Ozone. Enjoy!
